Index of State of Delaware Business Licenses and Registrations
There are multiple license types for child care centers and homes. Each have different regulations and requirements. Family Child Care Homes: Provider alone cares for six (6) preschool-age or younger children and one (1) to three (3) school-age children. Large Family Child Care Homes: Provider and assistant care for seven (7) to twelve (12) preschool-age or younger children and one (1) or two (2) school-age children. Early Care and Education and School Age Centers: Child care provided in a commercial (non-residential) setting for thirteen (13) or more children including nonprofit and for-profit programs. “School-Age Center” means a center that exclusively provides care for school-age children.
