In order to receive Division of Public Health approval, a pool operator course must have an approved instructor and must meet all of the following criteria consisting of taking and sufficiently passing all assigned pool courses.

State of Delaware Qualified Pool Operator certificates are effective for 5 years. “Qualified Pool Operator” means a person who is at least eighteen (18) years old, that is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the water and air quality systems and the associated infrastructure of the aquatic facility and who has successfully completed a Division recognized operator training course to operate an aquatic facility offered by a Division recognized training agency and holds a current certificate for such training.
