Within Health Systems Protection, the Recreational Camp Program helps protect, preserve and promote the physical and mental well-being of Delawareans and minimize the incidence of communicable disease. Through the regulation and inspection of publicly and privately owned facilities, the program works to improve the general health and welfare of the people of the State of Delaware.

Recereational Camp permits are issued annually. A new application is required each year. A plan review is required for new construction or location change. Permits are valid from June – August with the exception of year round camps.

Licensure renewal forms are sent to the facilities annually, prior to the expiration of the current license. Please contact our office with any questions or to obtain a renewal form.
