For Public Pools

The Public Pool Supervision Program was developed under the authority of 16 Delaware Code Section 122. It provides for the adoption of regulations to assure that all public pools, spas and hot tubs meet certain construction, operational, water quality and safety standards. The mission of the program is to assure that all public pools are built according to best engineering practices and are safe for patrons/bathers.

Term

Public pool permits are effective beginning April 15 each calendar year and expire on April 15th of the following year. Plan review is required for construction of new pools on renovations to existing pools. Pool operating permits are not transferable, a change of ownership application is required.

Renewal Form

Licensure renewal forms are sent to the facilities annually, prior to the expiration of the current license. Please contact our office with any questions.
