A non-depository license from the State Bank Commissioner

The Office of the State Bank Commissioner licenses and regulates hundreds of non-bank businesses that provide financial services in Delaware. Licenses for Cashing Checks, Drafts or Money Orders are issued to businesses who cash such items for consumers for a fee in excess of ten cents per item.

1 year, after initial license period. Application due by 12/1 each year. Renewal process begins in August. Applications are mailed to companies in August. Applications are available online beginning in September.
