Grain Mills, Employees, and Equipment



The Department of Agriculture provides grain inspection, training and grading services to grain mills throughout the state. DDA’s Seed Laboratory examines and issues licenses to operators who inspect grain in Delaware, and all grain mill employees must be licensed and grain testing equipment registered. Grain mills are certified each year.

Seed Laboratory personnel thru Delaware Department of Agriculture provide grain inspection, training, and grading services to grain mills throughout the state. The Seed Laboratory examines and issues licenses to operators who inspect grain in Delaware. All grain mill employees must be licensed and grain testing equipment registered with DDA. Grain mills are certified each year (Title 3 Chapter 16 – Grain Inspection, Certification, and Grain Contracts). These operators are licensed for a two-year period. The license fee is $10.00 per two-year period and the revenues go into the State General Fund.

Grain mills are certified each year. Licenses for grain mill employees are for two years. All licenses shall continue in full force and effect until December 31 of the year of expiration, whereupon, they shall become invalid unless renewed. Also this office issues Commercial Grain elevator licenses.

Fee

License fee for Grain Inspectors is $10.
